Dear Sisters and Brothers:
The CUPE Local 4848 third Annual General Convention was held in Tracadie-Sheila September 14-15, 40 Delegates representing 56 Stations and 10 Guests were present for the event. Your delegates worked very hard during those two days; we had very good debates and they have given the Local executive direction for the incoming year. We have elected the new CUPE Local 4848 Executive for the years 2010 - 2011.
Thank you to all the Station Vice-Presidents that have been involved in the last year on behalf of the members, for the work they have done for the Paramedics and Dispatchers of New Brunswick. They have done amazing work for the year 2009-2010. For all the hours they have put in, the Membership will never be able to thank them enough.
Thank you to all the New Station Vice-Presidents to take the time to help the Members when they need it most.
We still have a few Stations in the Province that have no VP’s at this time. If you are up for the challenge you can summit your name to your regional President before October 30, 2010. The Stations are Grand-Falls, Belledune, Miramichi, Rexton, Clairville, Neguac, Rogersville, Baie-Ste-Anne, Deer Island, St.Andrews, Lepreau and Harvey Station.
I also attached the list of your officials for the year 2010 - 1011.
Thank you!
In solidarity,
Denis Beaulieu
President CUPE/SCFP local 4848
